Is this considered self-defense?
You are in a room, and someone is standing by the door purposely to block you from exiting.
You put your hands on them and you physically shove them out of the way so you can proceed to exit the room.
Is that considered self-defense? can you do that?

Technically, the definition of self defense involves protecting yourself or others from imminent physical harm. Merely blocking the door and saying you can't leave isn't really excuse enough to use physical force against them.
